Dothan man accused of fatal nightclub shooting ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - A Dothan man has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to multiple charges relating to the August 9 shooting at Teaser's night club in Wicksburg.

Court documents show 22-year-old Ryan Petersen pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease to one count capital murder two or more persons, one count attempted murder, and three counts capital murder during burglary. Petersen is accused of opening fire at Teaser's Night Club in Dothan back in August and killing 31-year-old Tiffany Paige Grissett of Dale County, 59-year-old Thomas Robbins of Dothan and 20-year-old Cameron Eubanks of Dothan. A fourth victim, 33-year-old Scotty Russell of Opp was also injured during the incident.

Four arrested following apartment burglary

Four arrested following apartment burglary

OPP, AL (WSFA) - Four teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with a break-in at an Opp apartment complex.

Opp Police say at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday four male intruders armed with a .40 caliber handgun entered an apartment at the Carriage House Apartment Complex on Barnes Street. The apartment occupants were home at the time and awakened to observe the intruders in the apartment.

A report states the intruders stole a Play Station III game system with controls and three games before fleeing from the apartment.

An investigation by the Opp Police Department patrol units resulted in the arrest of four teenagers.

Meyke Jamal Boyd, age 19, Devin J. Davis, age 18, Chamberland Lamount Hines, age 17, and Deontaye Jaquan Caldwell, age 16, all of Opp, were all charged with burglary first degree and theft of property second degree. The two juveniles have been charged as adults in this case.

Man arrested in connection with Covington Co. roadside murder

COVINGTON CO., AL (WSFA) - According to authorities, a suspect has been charged with capital murder in connection with a body found on a Covington County roadside.

Covington County and ABI officials were called in to investigate a murder on Friday, Sept. 14 near Andalusia after a man's body was found in an open field off of Old Dragstrip Road and Airport Road. That victim was later identified as 48-year-old Greenville resident Donnie Earl Bone.

Bone worked in the scrap metal business, and witnesses told deputies they saw him and the owner of a business on Airport Road leave together Thursday afternoon. Bone was found the next morning dead from a gunshot to the back of the head.

On Monday September 10 at approximately 1:30 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a residence off of Army Surplus Road in the Rose Hill are of Covington County. A homeowner had returned to his house to find 3 white males loading a truck with items from his home. He called 911 as the suspects fled the scene in a pickup truck.  Dispatch gave out a “BOLO” for the vehicle to responding deputies. Deputy Paige Spivey made contact with the suspect vehicle on Shreve Road off of County Road 70. Deputy Spivey initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle with 3 male occupants. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as William Leon Burgans, w/m 41 years old of Andalusia, Hilary H. Mathews III, w/m 53 years of age, of Andalusia and Jessie C. Mathews, w/m 22 years of age, of Andalusia. The victim came to the location of the traffic stop and identified the occupants and his stolen items located in the back of the truck.
