The United Methodist Children’s Home in Andalusia is located in the Department of Human Resources building. We work Monday – Friday from 8am

until 4:30pm. Interested people can call at 334-793-0090  or 877-832-8624. We are asking people to make a difference in a child’s life by becoming Foster parents, in our Therapeutic Foster Care Program.  For further info contact Keri McCollough.

Trailing In The Faith – Trail Ride begins and ends at Rodger’s Grocery in Goshen, AL on Saturday, May 19th gates open at 7am – 9am the Ride starts – 11:30am Lunch, Auction & Music and other activities available

Price is $20 per rider or $10 to enter.

Concluding the day with Cowboy Church.

All proceeds will benefit the GBC Youth Mission Fund..

The Quarterback Club is selling tickets to the Covington Sportsman’s Expo to help raise much needed funds.  The Covington Sportsman’s Expo presented by Willow Outdoors, LLC will take place July 27-29, 2012 at the Andalusia Kiwanis Fairgrounds.  For $20 you will not only be supporting the Quarterback Club but also getting a 3 day pass to the expo. The 3 day tickets entitle you to 3 chances on a Rhino boat & gun giveaways (you don’t even have to be present to win!).  The Covington Sportsman’s Expo will feature: youth & adult archery pop-up tournament, sanctioned turkey calling contest, informational seminars, daily door prizes, and over 100 vendors.  There will be vendors for every aspect of outdoor life from hunting and fishing to gardening and leather goods, including homemade saddles!

Beginning Friday, April 27th, Saturday, April 28th and Monday, April 30th – Wal-mart is providing an opportunity to give help to families needing food assistance. Representatives of the Christian Service Center will be at the Wal-mart food entrance on these days, from 10am until 2pm to receive donations. When you buy your groceries get some extra or even bring some cans from home to donate for distribution at the Christian Service Centers. Head to the food drive at Wal-mart and help those in need this coming Friday, Saturday and Monday
