First grade student wins Covington County Spelling Bee | Events
Taj Patel, a 6-year-old first grader at Straughn Elementary in Andalusia, won the Covington County spelling bee. Taj beat fifth and sixth graders to become the spelling bee champion.
Taj will go on to compete at the regional spelling bee.
