Four arrested following apartment burglary | Crime
OPP, AL (WSFA) - Four teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with a break-in at an Opp apartment complex.
Opp Police say at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday four male intruders armed with a .40 caliber handgun entered an apartment at the Carriage House Apartment Complex on Barnes Street. The apartment occupants were home at the time and awakened to observe the intruders in the apartment.
A report states the intruders stole a Play Station III game system with controls and three games before fleeing from the apartment.
An investigation by the Opp Police Department patrol units resulted in the arrest of four teenagers.
Meyke Jamal Boyd, age 19, Devin J. Davis, age 18, Chamberland Lamount Hines, age 17, and Deontaye Jaquan Caldwell, age 16, all of Opp, were all charged with burglary first degree and theft of property second degree. The two juveniles have been charged as adults in this case.
All four teens have been placed into the Covington County Jail on $150,000 bond each.
