Suspect in Gantt stabbing turns self in | Crime

GANTT, AL (WSFA)  -The suspect in the Monday night stabbing of a Covington County man on Wheeler Road turned himself in to Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday morning.

Brian McClellan was arrested and booked into the Covington County Jail on an outstanding violation of probation warrant.

The cutting incident is still under investigation. Investigators say they are still interviewing potential witnesses.

Covington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call June 18th. When they arrived, deputies found 33-year-old Dickie Lambert suffering from an apparent knife wound to the abdomen.

Paramedics transported the victim to a landing zone, where he was transferred to a helicopter and airlifted to Baptist South in Montgomery. His current condition is unknown.
