Family asking for "Cards for Cooper" | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Cooper was diagnosed with Acute Lymphobalastic Leukemia in July of 2011. The Lord has done such a mighty work in Cooper’s body as he is in remission; however, he is still currently undergoing treatment. For the next 22 months, he will continue treatment at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fl.
For Cooper’s Birthday last year, we started a project called “Cards For Cooper”. All children love to receive their own mail, especially when they are sick. Cooper was thrilled to receive over 400 cards from around the world. He had so much fun receiving his birthday cards that we wanted to do it again this year; however, we decided to make it even more special.
We are asking for everyone to please take time to send a card, as well as, $1. Our goal is to raise enough money to help fund Christmas for the children on the Oncology floor at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Thank you all so much for your love, support, and prayers. We can’t wait to break last year’s record but most importantly, be able to put a smile on the faces of those children who will be spending Christmas in the hospital.
If you would like to contribute to this very special project, you can send your card and $1 to Cooper at “P.O. Box 8 Andalusia Alabama 36420” The post office box will be active for 4 months.
For more info, contact Christy Sasser at 892-4511.
